Privacy Policy & Terms for Web Landscape Limited, applied under the laws of the United Kingdom and the Syrian Arab Republic. Effective date: 1/2/2023.
Clause 1: Definitions and Responsible Party
- Web Landscape Limited (registered in the UK, company no. 14592741) is the owner and official provider of digital services: website design and development; mobile app development; digital marketing; visual identity; visual production and motion graphics; social media management.
- "Client" means any natural or legal person using the company’s services within the UK or the Syrian Arab Republic.
- This policy is governed by: Data Protection Act 2018 + UK GDPR; civil, commercial, and privacy laws in Syria. The applicable legal regime depends on the client location and service nature.
Clause 2: Application Definition
- Web Landscape may develop apps or platforms for itself or for clients.
- The company’s role (owner / developer / technical operator) is defined by contract.
- The app is used to provide digital services, manage data, display products, execute sales, or any agreed function.
- Any illegal use is prohibited under both UK and Syrian law.
Clause 3: Target Audience
- Services are offered to: businesses, entrepreneurs, institutions, and individuals seeking digital services.
- Services are not provided to minors except under the conditions in clause 8.
Clause 4: Personal Data Collected
- Data that may be collected: name, phone, email; communication records; project files (images, text, designs, video); digital campaign performance data; browsing/analytics data within sites or apps.
- Purposes: contractual performance; technical support; service quality improvement; compliance with UK and Syrian laws; account and billing management.
- Retention: in the UK up to 6 years per Companies Act 2006; in Syria only as long as legally necessary for accounting or litigation; or for the duration of the contract, whichever is longer as required by law.
Clause 5: Sharing Personal Data
- Data is shared only to: perform the contract; with service providers (hosting, payments, technical support); meet legal obligations in the UK or Syria; comply with official court orders in either country.
- User data is never sold.
Clause 6: User Rights
- Under UK GDPR: right of access; rectification; erasure; objection; and the right to complain to the ICO.
- Under Syrian law: right to request a copy; correct errors; delete or disable data at contract end; seek judicial remedy for privacy breaches.
- Web Landscape applies the relevant rights based on the user’s country or the service location.
Clause 7: User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information.
- Do not use the services in violation of UK or Syrian law.
- Do not upload or send content that infringes intellectual property.
- Do not use the services to publish harmful, unlawful, or pirated content, or content contrary to public morals.
- Do not attempt to bypass or attack the company’s systems.
Clause 8: Minors
- Use by individuals under 18 is prohibited unless a legal guardian consents; this applies in both the UK and Syria.
Clause 9: Unsubscribe and Data Deletion
- Clients may request data deletion or subscription cancellation.
- Requests are processed within 30 days.
- Some data may be retained as required by UK or Syrian law for accounting or legal purposes.
Clause 10: Web Landscape Obligations
- Apply UK security standards (ISO 27001).
- Use SSL encryption.
- Prevent employee access to data without authorization.
- Comply with data protection standards in the UK and Syria.
Clause 11: Web Landscape Rights
- Suspend service when terms are violated.
- Terminate contracts in cases of misuse.
- Showcase completed work in the portfolio unless otherwise agreed.
- Seek compensation under the laws of the country where the project is delivered.
Clause 12: Violation Procedures
- Issue a formal warning.
- Suspend the account or service.
- Terminate the contract.
- Pursue legal action before: UK courts if the service is in the UK; Syrian courts if the service is in Syria.
Clause 13: Payment and Financial Liability
- A 50% upfront payment is required before work starts.
- In the UK, late fees may apply after 30 days (Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982).
- The company is not liable for indirect losses or damages from client use of the service.
- In Syria, financial transactions follow Syrian commercial laws.
Clause 14: Policy Updates
- The company may update this policy.
- Clients will be notified of material changes.
- Updated clauses will be clearly indicated.
- Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Clause 15: Dispute Resolution
- If the service is provided in the UK: disputes follow the UK Arbitration Act 1996 and are resolved in London.
- If the service is provided in Syria: disputes are subject to Syrian courts and the competent civil judiciary.
